He holds many years in his extensive business career as a top executive of both Japanese and foreign affiliated companies engaged in sales and marketing of automotive components, sporting goods and publishing.

His career includes 30 years at Bridgestone Corporation, 12 years of which were served in overseas as Sales/Marketing Director in Australia (1979-1982), Managing Director/CEO of a subsidiary in the UK (1984-1988) and Germany (1990-1993).
In 1995, he joined Nordica Japan, a subsidiary of Benetton Sports System in Italy, manufacturing and marketing various sporting goods, as Managing Director/CEO.

In 1998, he joined Oxford University Press Japan, a subsidiary of Oxford University Press in the UK, as Managing Director/CEO.

Mr.Takiguchi holds a BA in Law from Keio University in Tokyo.
