Mr. Toru Kanou is a search consultant with Signium International’s Tokyo office.
He has worked extensively in global sales and management in the consumer industry, both the US and Japan.
He began his career in 1993 as an assistant consultant for a Tokyo-based search business. Following that, he worked for an international airline company and Ernest & Julio Gallo Wineries as a sales manager in Japan. He established and managed a venture company in California from 2000 to 2003. In 2004, Mr. Kanou returned to Japan and restarted a search business specifically geared to the IT industry. Since joining Signium International Japan, he has successfully completed numerous placements, such as executive levels of sales & marketing positions, as well as technical engineers for both foreign and Japanese IT companies.
Mr. Kanou holds a B.A. of Japanese literature from Kokugakuin University in Tokyo and speaks fluent English and Japanese.
